2015 Sermons

The following are sermons I have preached in 2015. Please note that these are sometimes transcripts and sometimes just posts utilizing some or most of the sermon material. Sermons are not above critique; in fact, I welcome it. There is something odd, however, in posting sermon texts online, and this is because there is something unique about the preached word. It is what it is. I welcome comments, critique, and just good conversation!

Baptism of Jesus: John the Baptist makes Lutherans nervous
Epiphany 1: If Christ is risen, nothing else matters. And if Christ is not risen--nothing else matters
Epiphany 2: Blessed are the meek: Another reason God doesn't care who wins the Super Bowl
Epiphany 4: It's not that you can't walk on water. It's that, eventually, you will sink
Epiphany 5: What is the church?
Ash Wednesday: On dust and bodily living
Lent 1: Every sermon I've ever given (at least this is what this one feels like)
Lent 2: The virtue of working a full day... or just a few minutes
Men's Lenten Breakfast: Being a loser, bearing the cross
Lent 3: Offensive grace and the judgment of invitation
Lent 4: All About the Benjamins (and the Creflo Dollars)
