About me

My name is Frank Johnson and I serve as Executive Director of Ewalu Bible Camp and Retreat Center. This space is curated for reflections on the ministry of Ewalu, the happenings around camp, and a place for sermons shared with churches around eastern Iowa.

I live in Strawberry Point, Iowa alongside my wife--Kate--and kids--Natalie, Elias, and Wilder. I enjoy chess, cycling, hiking, fishing, and adventure racing.

My first book, Rocks and Roots: Reflections on the Superior Hiking Trail (2021) is available in the Ewalu online camp store.
